Menton is the last stop on the Cote d’Azur before entering the Italian border. It’s a sleepy little village (especially compared to it’s glitzy and glamorous neighbors like Monte Carlo or Cannes), but offers a quiet and authentic charm that can be hard to come by elsewhere on the French Riviera. With pastel-colored homes and lemon groves dotting the hillside, and striking-blue ocean views as far as the eye can see, the seaside town of Menton is a place worth visiting for a day (or longer if you have the luxury)! Here are 15 photos to inspire you to visit Menton, France.
Spend an afternoon (or two) soaking up the sun on Menton’s various sandy beaches (it is home to a half dozen of them)! There are also a ton of beachfront restaurants that line the waterfront to choose from, most of them specializing in seafood or pasta (after all, Italy is only a neighboring village away).
There’s a reason why Menton has been nicknamed the ‘Pearl of France’. Check out that gorgeous view!
Spend time getting lost in the winding streets of Menton. Every corner we saw had so much character and charm!
Spend time exploring the lovely old port. Some of the best views of Menton can be found in this area!
You’re in France, so don’t forget to make time for an afternoon pick-me-up of crepes (salted caramel is my favorite). For the best crepes in Menton, visit Creperie Saint Michel which is located in the heart of the old town.

This is the most beautiful color palette! It looks almost identical to the Italian Riviera! I’ve passed through Menton on the train, but next time I’ll be sure to stop by and give it a proper visit 😉

It looks so breathtaking! Those rustic corners and old villages are beautiful and must have been so fun to explore! I’ve only been to Paris and Nice, but I would definitely visit here, I wish I had heard of Menton before arriving xx
